Autistic Children
I read with autistic children so that they can develop their communication skills, vocabulary, reading ability, and more.
To teach children how to read, I show them how to sound out letters, words, and teach them how to read with a flow. I understand that autistic children sometimes learn differently from non-autistic children. This is why if the child cannot find a way that works for them, I try to find other approaches and methods for them which might work better.
My classes are always very fun and I even make games out of what we do! I am very patient and if a child starts to give up because they do not get something, I always encourage them to keep on trying.
